AUTHORSHIP
Authorship should be rendered to individuals who significantly contributed to the development of the paper. All persons who have provided significant contributions should be listed as co-authors.
PJCS considers “significant contribution” as involvement in the conceptualization, design, implementation, data collection, or data analysis; drafting the manuscript and or revising its content; and have reviewed and agreed to the final version of the paper for submission and publication.
The persons who contributed to the study but do not meet the stipulated meaning of significant contribution stipulated above should appear in the “Acknowledgements” section.
ARTICLE PUBLICATION CHARGE
There are no submission fees, publication fees, or page charges for the PJCS.
MANUSCRIPT PREPARATION
Cover Letter
When you submit your article to PJCS, you need to include a cover letter as a separate Microsoft Word file which contain the following information:
- Name of the editor which can be found in the About section
- Title of the manuscript
- Complete names of the authors; one author should be identified as the corresponding author indicated by an asterisk; institutional affiliations of the authors; e-mail address of the corresponding author
- Short description of the significance of the manuscript, why it is important, and why the readers of the journal would be interested in it
- Statement that your manuscript has not been published nor is under consideration by another journal
- Confirmation that all co-authors have approved the version of the manuscript and agreed to its submission for review and possible publication.
- Confirmation of no competing interests to disclose
- Funding details, if applicable
- Statement of data availability, if applicable
Title Page
Your submission should also include a title page as a separate Microsoft Word file.
Key points to include:
- The full title of the manuscript
- A short version of the title consisting of up to 60 characters in length
- Complete names of the authors; one author should be identified as the corresponding author indicated by an asterisk; institutional affiliations of the authors; e-mail address of the corresponding author.
Manuscript
PJCS follows a double-blind peer review system, thus any information that could potentially reveal the authors or their institutional affiliations should be removed from the manuscript.
Word Count
The typical length of the manuscript is 2500 to 8000 words, including the tables, figures, and references.
Format
The manuscript must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc). Use Times New Roman font in size 12 with double-line spacing. Margins should be at least 2.5cm or 1 inch.
Title
Use bold for your article title, with an initial capital letter for any proper nouns.
Abstract
The abstract should contain 200 words or less.
Keywords
Provide between 4 and 6 keywords for the manuscript. Keywords help readers find your article, so are essential for searchability.
Headings
Tables and Figures
All tables should be editable and figures displayed as JPG. They must have a title describing their contents and be numbered using Arabic numerals. All tables and figures must be placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
Citation
The manuscript should be an original scholarly work. Where appropriate, the authors should cite the works, words, ideas, or figures used in the manuscript. All sources used must be properly attributed. The reuse of text that is copied from another source must be appropriately quoted. The citations and quotations should be written following the standards of the
Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (7th edition).
Acknowledgment
Authors may place an acknowledgment section before the reference list. They must obtain permission to include the names of all individuals included in this section.
Reference list
PEER REVIEW PROCESS
PJCS is committed to peer review integrity and maintaining high peer-review standards. Your paper will be initially evaluated for quality check by the editor. Then, it will be double-blind, peer-reviewed by independent and anonymous experts in the field. Finally, the decision to accept, revise or decline will be based on the quantitative and qualitative results of the peer review.
Generally, the peer review process follows these three stages: 1. Preliminary Check; 2. Peer Review; and 3. Decision.

OPEN ACCESS AND COPYRIGHT
PJCS is an open-access journal that adheres to the “
Budapest Open Access Initiative.” It allows users to freely access all content available. Full-text articles can be read, downloaded, distributed, printed, searched, or reused without asking prior permission from the publisher or author with the condition that the original publication is properly cited and referenced.

ETHICAL GUIDELINES
PJCS abides by the “
Ethical Guidelines for Educational Research” published by the British Educational Research Association (BERA). The authors who will submit their manuscripts to PJCS are directed to adopt these ethical guidelines and apply them in their research process.

PLAGIARISM
PJCS considers plagiarism as unethical behavior and is unacceptable. Plagiarism may include, but is not limited, to the following: presenting work or ideas of someone as own work or ideas with or without consent, incorporating parts of other works or ideas without proper attribution to the source, using research data derived from an extant source or others without permission, and claiming results from research conducted by others.
To avoid plagiarism, the authors must properly cite and reference all the works, or ideas used in their manuscript following the prescribed standards. Where applicable, the authors should secure written permission for a figure, illustration, table, or text passage that has already been published elsewhere.
DATA FABRICATION
PJCS does not allow the fabrication of data and manipulation of visual objects. The authors must show a correct account of their research, especially as regards data generation, presentation, analysis, and interpretation. Any fabricated statements represent unethical behaviors and are in any way not tolerated.
DATA AVAILABILITY
PJCS supports open data initiatives. Authors may include supplementary files that contain data when submitting a manuscript. If deposited in a public repository, provide information by including the hyperlink, DOI, or other persistent identifier associated with the data set. Please state it in the cover letter.
ARTICLE RETRACTION
PJCS ensures the integrity of the scholarly record. However, under exceptional circumstances involving plagiarism, errors in sample or data, ethical misconduct, a duplicate submission, or redundant publication, articles may be subject to retraction.
The need for retraction may be initiated at the request of the authors and will be decided by the Editor-in-Chief.
Any necessary changes will be accompanied by a notice of retraction that will include the title and name of the authors of the article, the reason for the retraction, and who is retracting the article. It will be published and linked to the online copy of the article.
